Dubai Airport lighting retrofit

DALRP1 (DUBAI AIRPORT LIGHTING RETROFIT PROJECT PHASE 1) RESCOM PROJECT MANAGEMENT CONSULTANTS

Dubai International Airport is the primary international airport serving Dubai, United Arab Emirates, and is the world’s busiest airport by international passenger traffic. It is also the fourth busiest airport in the world by passenger traffic, the seventh busiest cargo airport in the world, the busiest airport for Airbus A380 and Boeing 777 movements, and the airport with the highest average number of passengers per flight.

The project, the largest Rescom have carried out in our ESCO portfolio,  was to assess the current lighting infrastructure and create a proposal of energy conservation measures which would ensure the facility complies with all lighting international standards but to provide a substantial reduction in the airports carbon footprint and energy consumption by replacing 150,000 luminaries in the airport over a period of 18 months.

 Rescom successfully worked closely with Signify(Philips lighting) from audit, Design, Procurement and execution of the project as per the agreed program. Rescom, acting in the Project/site Management role was responsible for liaise with client and client consultants. Rescom involvement was in Facilities Management, Project Planning, Implementing HSE standards and Site management for all phases of the project.
